B.A.I.T. TN-I on Douglas
Sunday November 24, 2013 was a cold day for fishing. 19 boats showed up to compete in B.A.I.T. TN-I’s second tournament of the season. First place honors went to the team of Gordon Monroe and Kevin Barber with a nice limit of fish weighing 19.04 lbs. They netted $1,000.00 for their efforts. Second place went to Don McCurdy and Brian Fox with 18.80 lbs. worth $400.00. Third place went to David and Randy Collinsworth with 17.57 lbs. worth $220.00.
Lunker largemouth went to Cliff Rowland weighing, 5.49 lbs. and was worth $85.00. Smallmouth lunker went to Don McCurdy and Brian Fox weighing 5.10 lbs. and was worth $85.00.
B.A.I.T. and Bojangles along with Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce have teamed up to provide a little more money for payout over the season. We paid out $500.00 over our regular payout. Congratulations to all and thanks for fishing “America’s Best Team Trail”. Our next tournament will be December 8, 2013 on Cherokee launching from the Dam. Remember, there will be $500.00 for the highest finishing team from TN-I at the Classic thanks to Ray Varner Ford! Pre-registration will be Saturday December 7, from 2-6 p.m. at Buck’s N Bass.
