Sunday April 21, 2013 was a nice warm and windy day on Cherokee Lake. The fish bit well and 36 boats showed up to compete for a first place prize of $920.00. First place honors went to the team of Tim Smiley and Steve Gibson with five nice fish weighing 17.49 lbs. They netted $920.00 for their efforts. Second place went to the team of David and Randy Collinsworth with 16.98 lbs. and was worth $530.00. Third place went to Burton Bryan and Jeff Russell with 15.58 lbs. worth $310.00. Fourth place went to Greg McDavid and Ken Vicchio with 15.56 lbs. worth $260.00. Fifth place went to Bobby Ferguson and Charlie McConnell with 15.00 lbs. worth $210.00. Sixth place went to Randy Carroll and Mike hobby with 14.80 lbs. worth $150.00.
Largemouth lunker went to the team of Willie Collins and Larry Johnson weighing 5.14 lbs. and was worth $170.00. Smallmouth lunker went to the team of Ed Lewis and Marvin Perry weighing 4.53 lbs. and was worth $170.00. The Watson’s Marine Contingency Money went to the team of Ed Lewis and Marvin Perry for being the highest finishing Triton boat.
