Fishing Report: 17 August 2011
Not heard any thing new on walleye. Last report on walleye was: Few fisherman still catching walleye by trolling 20 to 30 feet deep early morn and late night from friendship marina to point 3 which is on the TN side.
Crappie fishing still doing good at night using lights and small minnows. Have seen several stringers of crappie but most of them are only ten inches or so, not many big ones.
Lake trout been around 50 to 80 feet deep trolling, most fish over 3 lbs.
Large mouth still good in brush piles on worm and pig and jig.
Smallmouth still deep supposedly bout 15-30 feet using pig and jig, deep running crankbaits, and spoons.
Catfish been doing good on shiners during the day and jugs at night.
The water temp at marina this mortning was 82.1 with lake level at 1723.68 above sea level and has dropped 1.64 ft since last week.
