East Tennessee Fly Fishing
Watauga River Fishing Report: 06 April 2013
Watauga has been great, been fishing it a bunch the past few weeks. TVA has been running water, but the higher water floats have been very productive this spring. Midges and blue wings on the upper Watauga and Caddis are hatching on the lower end. Here are a couple pictures of Mike and Patty fishing clients for close to fifteen years I really look forward to seeing these guys every year.
We still have open dates so give us a call or email to set up your dates on the river.

Happy to say we are back guiding and fishing again after a long winter and a cold start to spring things are getting started up again. It has been a cold wet spring but the bugs are starting to show up on the Watauga with blue wings and blue quills both hatching. Also some small dark caddis are hatching too. We have been fishing dry flies when the opportunity presents its self but most of the fish we have been catching so far have been nymph fishing.Things should really get good this month with lots of bugs and warmer weather on the way. It is time to book a trip and get out and catch some trout.
